The label "Type O’Clock" was founded by the designers Jimu Kobayashi and Lukas Schulz 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany. With their focus on product design, ceramics and contemporary culture, they have developed a wall clock that combines type design and craftsmanship. The collections are reinterpreted in unconventional ways in close collaboration with international type designers and handmade in small editions by Jimu and Lukas. During production in Düsseldorf, Germany, attention is paid not only to very high quality, but also to the origin of the individual components. Thus, characteristic and high-quality wall clocks are created. Each clock is made by hand from ceramic in small batches over several hours. In the process, each clock is cast separately and embossed with the dial specially designed by international type designers. All clocks are fired for several days at over 1000°C, manufactured and then equipped with a quartz movement made in Germany. Lukas Schulz and Jimu Kobayashi are product designers and the guys behind "Type o'clock". They work together in their hometown Düsseldorf in their joint ceramic studio.
